Our Services

The list of services we offer our patients include:

Immunisations

Looking for a travel vaccination centre in Melbourne? Our team of medical practitioners prescribe immunisations, where relevant, to keep you healthy on your travels. Administered by trained registered nurses, our available vaccines include the routine; measles, mumps, rubella and influenza, to the more complicated, such as yellow fever and associated international certifications for travel.

Our team will only recommend travel vaccinations based on the individual's requirement, itinerary of the traveller, their health status, when the benefit of the vaccine outweighs the associated risk of complications arising from vaccine side-effects, and when the risk of disease and illness is indicated.

BCG clinic

BCG is a live vaccine against tuberculosis (TB). In Australia, children under 5 years old travelling to countries with a certain risk of TB transmission are recommended to receive the BCG vaccine before travel.

We provide BCG vaccinations at the Melbourne CBD clinic. Fees are payable for the medical consultation and BCG vaccine.

Both parents should attend the BCG vaccination clinic with their child, if possible. It is best for the parents of the child to be well informed about the vaccination.

If your child has travelled outside Australia or if they might have been exposed to TB before, a skin test known as Mantoux (Tuberculin Skin Test, or TST) may be required prior to BCG vaccination. After a TST, your child will need to return for a repeat visit to evaluate the response in 3 days’ time.

Other live vaccines should ideally be given one month apart from BCG, e.g. Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR) at 12 months of age and Measles, Mumps, Rubella & Varicella/chickenpox (MMRV) at 18 months. Live vaccines may otherwise be given on the same day if the child is departing Australia very soon. We can administer those vaccines at the clinic.

To book a BCG vaccination for your child, please call (03) 9666 0600 or complete the Request a Booking form and one of our friendly team members will contact you. Please mention 'BCG (TB vaccine)' in the 'Other Information' box.
