Our Team

Our team at The Travel Doctor-TMVC Sydney are passionate about travel and have first-hand experience working and travelling within many of the destinations our patients visit. This allows us to provide travel medicine to a variety of travellers. As passionate travellers, we understand the risks and rewards associated with international travel.

Dr Conrad Moreira


Dr Moreira is a public health physician with extensive travel medicine experience. He previously worked in the public health unit in Western Sydney where he was involved in communicable disease control, immunisation and environmental health programs. He joined the Travel Doctor-TMVC team in 2008 as a medical director at Travel Doctor-TMVC Sydney.

Dr Ina Di Paola

Dr Di Paola graduated from Sydney university in 1983.  Completing a Post-Graduate Diploma in Aviation Medicine in 1994 she went on to join the team at Travel Doctor TMVC in 2001.  

Laxmi Ghimire

Registered Nurse

Laxmi Ghimire graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing from University of Technology Sydney in 2017. Laxmi has several years’ experience in the nursing field as an assistant and a Registered Nurse in aged and community care settings. Laxmi is an accredited Nurse Immuniser, utilising her skills within the Travel Doctor-TMVC and Sonic HealthPlus spaces. Laxmi has worked as a Registered Nurse with Sonic HealthPlus and Travel Doctor-TMVC in the Sydney CBD location since April 2021 where she supports the clinic with medical screening including Drug and Alcohol Testing, Audio, ECG, Spirometry, phlebotomy and vaccinations.

Saraswoti “Saru” Shrestha

Registered Nurse/Senior Nurse

Sarasworti “Saru” Shrestha is a Registered Nurse and graduated from Western Sydney University. Saru has 5 years nursing experience as a Registered Nurse across nursing homes, hospitals, medical clinics and in-home care settings throughout Australia. At Sonic HealthPlus and Travel Doctor-TMVC, Saru holds a Senior Nurse and Nurse Immuniser role, as well as being responsible for completing various components of medical screening in the clinic, such as ECG, Spirometry, Audiometry (including Occupational Noise Management), Drug and Alcohol Testing, phlebotomy and vaccinations.
