Our team at The Travel Doctor-TMVC Sydney are passionate about travel and have first-hand experience working and travelling within many of the destinations our patients visit. This allows us to provide travel medicine to a variety of travellers. As passionate travellers, we understand the risks and rewards associated with international travel.
Our medical team have undertaken additional training in this discipline to enable them to provide accurate and individualised advice, all relevant to your destination and itinerary.
We employ 7 experienced travel medicine practitioners, 3 trained nurses and 3 enthusiastic administrative professionals who work together to provide a professional service to all patients.
Dr Moreira is a public health physician with extensive travel medicine experience. He previously worked in the public health unit in Western Sydney where he was involved in communicable disease control, immunisation and environmental health programs. He joined the Travel Doctor-TMVC team in 2008 as a medical director at Travel Doctor-TMVC Sydney.
With experience in general practice, Dr Clark commenced working in Travel Doctor-TMVC in 2007. She has worked in both Canberra and Sydney Travel Doctor-TMVC clinic’s, completing the Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at James Cook University in 2015.
As well as a passion for travel and travel medicine, Margaret is interested in medical education, teaching medical students at the Australian National University and University of Notre Dame, Sydney.
Dr Miriam Adair graduated from Sydney University in 1983. She then worked extensively in NSW general practice and hospitals, both in the city and country. She ran her own busy general practice in Sydney for nearly 15 years and she remains vocationally registered with membership of the RACGP.
Miriam has extensive experience in all aspects of travel medicine including the management of corporate and retail travellers. She also frequently works in other TravelDoctor clinics in both NSW and interstate. She is passionate about customer service and also has comprehensive experience in coordinating continuing medical education. She has a 10 year background in organising RACGP- approved activities including presentations and small group learning sessions
She gained her Certificate in Travel Health in Melbourne in 2008 and she is also qualified to complete UK Oil and Gas medical examinations.
Kate joined the Travel Doctor Sydney Team as Clinic Manager in 2018. Studying a Bachelor of Health and Rehabilitation Science with Charles Sturt University, she has previous experience working in the Corporate Health Sector. Kate is an accredited and experienced medical screener, giving her insight into all corporate aspects of travel medicine. She is passionate about customer service and has worked with both corporate and retail travellers. As a passionate traveller, Kate has enjoyed adventures throughout Europe and Asia, and appreciates the value and importance of travel medicine.
