Dr Dunne

Travel Medicine Doctor

Dr Dunne is a graduate of UWA Medical school, and spent three years working in the hospital system in Western Australia before travelling to the USA, where she worked for two years undertaking molecular biology research at the Mayo Clinic.

On her return to Australia, General Practice seemed an obvious choice for a mother of young children, and she worked for the following 23 years as a part-time general practitioner, initially in Subiaco, and then at Student Health Services, Edith Cowan University.

The Travel Medicine consultations she encountered at ECU reinforced her interests in travel medicine, and she left general practice to join the Travel Doctor-TMVC team in 2013.

Since 2005 Dr Dunne also works as a senior lecturer in the Medical school at UWA, tutoring in General Practice, Clinical Skills, and Case Enhanced Learning.
