Taiwan’s JE case count hits 5

2 more cases of Japanese encephalitis have been confirmed in Taiwan, from Kaohsiung City and Chiayi County, raising the years reported cases to 5. According to the Centers for Disease Control, ‘All 5 cases live in a high-risk environment where there are vector breeding sites nearby.’ The public is urged to take all possible precautions and keep on top of their children’s vaccines.  Read more
