More polio cases surface in Pakistan

According to the Pakistan National Institute of Health (NIH), there have been another 4 cases of polio in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces on [Sun 14 Jul 2019], bringing the total number of these cases to 45 this year. The NIH confirmed that so far this year [2019], 35 polio cases have been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, followed by 5 cases in Punjab. Three cases of poliovirus have emerged in Sindh, while 2 have emerged in Balochistan. Read more.
