Cross-border cholera spread in Iraq

The cholera outbreak that was first reported in the autonomous Kurdistan region in June has now spread to the border areas of western Iran and there are fears that thousands of cases of acute watery diarrhoea that have occurred following the recent earthquake in Afghanistan could herald a regional cholera epidemic.
