China has achieved it's Malaria-free status at last

China has become the 40th country to achieve malaria elimination status, reducing infections from 30 million in the 1940s to zero in 2017. The announcement was made on June 30 by the WHO Director-General who said that China had joined ‘the growing number of countries that are showing the world that a malaria-free future is a viable goal’.
