Overview

The Czech Republic is a land-locked country in Central Europe. In the west, the Bohemian Massif (mountains) surrounds the tilted Bohemian Basin through which rivers flow to the eastern part of Germany through the fertile Danube Plain.

The climate is continental with warm, humid summers and cold, dry winters. In Prague, the winter temperature is around minus 2°C rising to 20°C in July.
