Overview

The island of Bermuda is in the western north Atlantic Ocean. It is an archipelago of 7 main and more than 150 smaller islands. The total land area is approximately 18 square miles.

The gulf stream runs between the island and the east coast of the USA and is responsible for the temperate climate all year round. Temperatures range from the occasional low during winter of 16°C to more than 31°C during summer.The coastline is characterised by small bays with beaches of fine coral sand.
