Overview

A group of three islands in the Leeward group, Antigua has a population of 90,000. It rises in the west to its highest point at Boggy Peak. Barbuda is a flat coral island with a large lagoon on its west side. Redonda is an uninhabited, volcanic island, whilst St John’s is the capital. Sugar, tourism and cotton crops are the main sources of income.

The climate is tropical with temperatures around 24°C.
