Following the reports just over 12 months ago of Papua New Guinea’s first polio case since 1996, Health officials are now confident that they have the polio outbreak under control, after an immense countrywide vaccination campaign. Thousands of people worked towards the mass campaign to vaccinate as many as 3 million children across PNG, headed by the World Health Organisation. At this time international certificates of vaccination are still required to enter and leave PNG. Read more:
