Tick season’s toll rises in South Korea

Tick season hits as 7 people in North Jeolla Province have been diagnosed with severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS), 5 of which have now died. Approximately 56 people throughout the country are infected with the tick-borne virus but no current preventive vaccine is available. Read more
