Preparations for dengue season in Nepal

Plans for suppressing dengue fever outbreaks are underway as the pre-monsoon rains arrive in Kathmandu Valley. A UN report on the impacts of climate change warned that it has already resulted in six vector-borne infections becoming endemic in Nepal and their distribution has widened, with Anopheles, Culex and Aedes mosquitoes now found above 2,000 metres in altitude.
