Papua New Guinea confirms 4th Polio case.

A 22-month-old girl from the Eastern Highlands province has become the fourth confirmed polio case in PNG. There are an addition 65 suspected cases currently being investigated and the risk of further spread is currently considered to be high, due to “substantial vaccination coverage gaps across the country”. All children under five years of age should be involved in the immunisation campaigns that are underway. Read more
