Pacific region dengue update

139 locally-acquired cases of dengue have been reported Wallis, Futuna has had 1 only. The cumulative total sits at 151 including imported cases that have come from New Caledonia and Vanuatu. Read more (translation required).
Other dengue reports (ReliefWeb) report 472 dengue-like illnesses in the last few months in Kiribati, 1,412 cases have been recorded in New Caledonia, and ongoing dengue outbreaks are hitting Fiji and Vanuatu. A single case of dengue has been identified in Mareeba, situated in the hinterlands near Cairns in north Queensland, Australia. This is the area’s first dengue case in over a year. Read more
