Heightened alert for rabies in northern districts

A 4-fold increase in the number of rabid animals detected in northern districts (Gilboa region, the Jordan & Jezreel Valleys, Megiddo and Yokne’am) has authorities voicing concerns on the heightened risk of spread to the human population from both (unvaccinated) domestic pets and wildlife.
