Dengue rates highest in and around Laos capital

Dengue fever cases are on the rise around the country with the highest incidences in the capital and surrounding district of Vientiane and the province of Attapeu. To date there have been more than 1,300 cases and four deaths. While in the Malaysian state of Johor, dengue fever cases passed 3,700 and there were 16 related deaths in a recent 9-week period.
