Overview

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) consist of seven federates situated on the Arabian Peninsula. A modern and dynamic powerhouse, the UAE is a sandy, glamorous playground bundled together with a rich history and culture. The beginning point for many on their exploration to the Middle East, the UAE is a juxtaposition of city skyscrapers, desert nights, ski resorts and relaxing island life.

Pre-travel Preparation Will Help Protect Your Health While You Are Away

Whilst the Unite Arab Emirates are typically believed to be a safe country for Australian travellers, the many opportunities within the UAE place even well-meaning travellers at risk of exposure to disease and illness. Consult a travel doctor prior to departure to assess your risks in relation to your medical history and travel plans. It would also be good to familiarise yourself with the UAE’s social policies’ as they have strict policies around alcohol consumption.

Warm Climates

Travellers invariably overindulge in ‘sunlust’ activities while traveling in warm climates. It is important to make sure you apply sunscreen regularly and stay hydrated as dehydration and heat stroke often go unrecognised.
