Overview

The Faroe Islands are an archipelago of 18 inhabited islands and a few uninhabited islands in the north Atlantic Ocean between Iceland and the Shetland Islands, covering 1,400 sq. kms. The land is rugged and rocky with cliffs along most of the coasts. The climate is mild with cool winters and cool summers.

It is usually overcast, foggy and windy.
