Location:

Building is called St Thomas House. We are on the corner of the Pacific Hwy & Thomas Street - opposite the Chatswood Public School. Access to the building is at the top of Thomas St - no entry from Pacific Hwy.

Parking:

There are parking meters at top end of Thomas Street, outside our building, or there is an open-air carpark halfway down Thomas Street

Medical Director

Dr Paula Fogarty has worked in Travel medicine for the last sixteen years, and has a Post Graduate Masters degree in Tropical Medicine and Public Health from James Cook University.

Paula has travelled widely in Asia, through China, Tibet and Uzbekistan, and has trekked in Nepal and Bhutan. She has also travelled through Central and South America and Southern Africa. These trips have enabled her to pursue her hobby of landscape and wildlife photography.

Paula also is qualified as a dive doctor to perform fitness medicals for recreational SCUBA divers.

Doctors

Dr Kate Shepherd is a general practitioner who has worked in Travel Medicine for twelve years and has a Postgraduate Certificate in Travel Medicine from James Cook University.

As well as her work at the Travel Doctor Chatswood, she regularly accompanies groups on the Captains Choice Tours as their tour doctor. Kate has lived in PNG, travelled extensively in the developing world, and particularly enjoys wilderness trekking.

Dr Paula Mazzocato has worked in Travel Medicine for five years. She has a post graduate certificate in Travel medicine from James Cook University and also has experience in Paediatric Medicine. Her travels include South America and the Galapagos Islands.

Clinic Specialities:

Dr Fogarty has a special interest in post-travel illness. Her Masters degree in Tropical Medicine means that she is also extremely well equipped to give advice on travel vaccines & malaria prevention, as well as other health risks.

Dr Fogarty has worked in travel medicine for 11 years & has had extensive travel experience in developing areas, & can therefore give travellers first hand advice regarding health issues there. Dr Fogarty has also had experience in Lyssavirus prevention amongst the bat-handling community & park ranger/wildlife staff of our NP&WS.
