Location:

We are located in Melbourne Road, West Wodonga opposite MacRae-White Holden. If you are travelling south along Melbourne Road take the service road on your left after the freeway entrance roundabout.

Parking:

Parking is allowed in Melbourne Road itself, & in the service road. You may not park on the nature reserve.

Medical Director:
Dr Bill Walton - is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He graduated from Monash University in 1981 & after some post-graduate training, worked as a principal of a rural practice for ten years. He left this practice to run the Staff Health Clinic at The King Khalid National Guard Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. There he remained for five years & his interest in Travel Medicine developed. In 1999, while still overseas, he completed his Post-graduate Diploma of Travel Medicine at The University of Glasgow. He subsequently returned to Australia & to General Practice in Wodonga. Currently Dr Walton is Chairman of The Border Division of General Practice. He is a member of the International Society Of Travel Medicine.

Hours of Operation:

Consultations are by appointment. Appointments can be made from 8.30am Monday to Friday.

Surgery hours are Monday to Friday

8:30am-12.30pm & 2pm-5.30pm



After Hours Arrangements:

After hours care is provided via the General Practice After Hours Service, which is shared with other practices in Wodonga. Travellers requiring emergency care or advice should contact the duty doctor by ringing the surgery number in the first instance. The GP on call can then contact one of the Travel Doctors if necessary.

All vaccinations available on site including Yellow Fever, Japanese Encephalitis & Rabies Vaccines.
Official International Vaccination Books issued & stamped.
Travellers Medical Kits available.

Replacement Vaccination Books if the first one goes astray.
E-mail consultations for our patients while they are overseas.
Lectures, PowerPoint or slide presentations given by Dr Walton tailored to the needs of travel groups.
