Martinique: Pink eye hits islands. The popular Caribbean island destinations of Martinique and Guadeloupe are experiencing a spike in the incidence of viral conjunctivitis, or pink eye. According to the West Indies and Caribbean News site, the highly transmissible infection has struck other islands within the region over the past few months, including St Lucia and Dominica.
