Flu epidemic hits French Polynesian islands

French Polynesia: Severe flu season. Wallis and Futuna have a combined population of 15,500, with 600 influenza cases in two weeks an epidemic has been called on the island of Wallis. Influenza A strain is quoted as being responsible for the sudden rise in cases early this month, however there the sub-type was not specified. Read more
