Zika epidemic warning in south Vietnam

After an urgent meeting, the steering board of disease prevention in the southern province of Dong Nai yesterday announced a Zika epidemic in Vinh Thnah Commune in Nhon Trach District (Dong Nai).
Since end of December, 2016 to January, 2017, the province's health sector detected four cases of Zika infections in Vinh Thanh Commune, accordingly, the local administration decided to announce the epidemic to warn people of the disease and adopt measures to curb its spread.
