Typhoid hits Pakistani cities

Pakistan: Resistant typhoid strikes two cities. H58, a multi-drug resistant (MDR) strain of typhoid, is cutting a swathe through the children of Hyderabad and Karachi. An assistant professor in paediatrics at a major Karachi hospital considers the current outbreak of MDR typhoid the largest seen in the two cities.
