Tickborne Encephalitis death

Japan: Tickborne virus emerges in Hokkaido. An elderly man from the northern island of Hokkaido has died from tickborne encephalitis (TBE); he became ill last month and succumbed to the viral disease this week. Japan has now recorded two deaths, from three known cases of TBE. Read more
