Malaysian rabies increase

Malaysia: More areas declared rabies-affected, one more case. One new human rabies cases has been reported in Sarawak this week – a 52yo man from Serian – and the number of districts identified as rabies-affected has increased by three to include Siburan town, Tebedu (Kampung Temong Mura) and Sri Aman (Rumah Janta Punggu Mawang). The four previous rabies victims (all children) have died from the infection. Domestic animals have been targeted in a vaccination campaign. Read more
