Measles oubreak in Conakry, Guinea

In a comminuique issued to the press on Wednesday evening, 8 February 2017, the Government of Guinea declares a measles epidemic in four of the five communes of the capital, Conakry, and in six of the countries 33 prefectures.

According to the press release, there are already 248 suspected cases recorded, of which 93 have been confirmed in the laboratory since the beginning of this year, 2017.
